Ing. Wisdom Edem Gomashie

Ing. Wisdom Edem Gomashie is a seasoned Mining Engineer and Policy Strategist with over seven years of industry experience spanning operations, legislation, and mining policy. A registered member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) and WAIMM, he holds a BSc (First Class) in Mining Engineering, an MSc in Engineering Management, an MA in Natural Resources Law, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Engineering (D-Eng) in Mining Engineering at UMaT.

Wisdom’s career includes roles with Goldfields Ghana, Ghana Manganese Company, and the Minerals Commission, where he served as Special and Technical Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources (2021–2025). He is an alumnus of ACEP’s Summer School on Extractive Governance.

As Founder & CEO of Africoast Minerals & Mining Consultants Ltd., he leads efforts to advance sustainable mining, influence policy, curb gold smuggling, and attract investment into Ghana’s mineral sector.

His work bridges policy, business, and technology—making him a trusted advisor to governments, mining firms, and international institutions across Africa.
